Our Story

The story behind Althea Vida.

Julia Rosso, founder.

At nineteen, while studying abroad in Costa Rica, Julia Rosso began to realize how many people do not have access to the knowledge or resources needed to truly nourish and care for their bodies. That realization planted a dream in her heart: to help cultivate a community that dives deeper into wellness and shares life-giving practices, wisdom, and resources with others.

Over the past decade, her experience in the wellness world has taught her that true health is not simply physical. It is the integration of body, mind, soul, and community. She believes the ultimate source of life is our Creator, and one of the greatest gifts He gives us is the opportunity to grow together in love, wisdom, and truth. He has supplied our needs, made herbs for the healing of the nations, called us beside still waters and green pastures, and invited us to be good stewards of the gifts we have been given.

Here in the United States, life often moves at a relentless pace. Minds become crowded with endless decisions, noise, and technology overload. Fresh, cold-pressed juice paired with a complementary herbal tea can be a simple yet nourishing act of care for both the body and nervous system.

Every detail at Althea Vida is chosen intentionally. From the quality of ingredients, to the use of glass bottles for the sake of both personal health and environmental stewardship.

Bottles are encouraged to be reused or returned, so that together we continue being part of the solution.

To further cultivate health, rest, and connection, Althea Vida also hosts wellness retreats designed to help people step away from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most. Through time in nature, nourishing meals and juices, movement, creativity, meaningful conversation, and reflection on God's Word, these retreats create space to slow down, restore the nervous system, and experience genuine community.
